Tea Taster
A profession that sharpens the senses.
A responsible job and fine art at the same time which requires not only talent, passion, taste and sensitivity but also negotiating skills, patience and a lot of experience.
One must be a true tea lover to work successfully as a Tea Taster.
It takes a long time tasting teas to become sensitized to the extent that one can judge a sample accurately.
So, it is no surprise that training time for a Tea Taster is about 7 years.
The object of the Tea Taster is to select from the available supply,
(thousands of teas produced each week, quality & price changing weekly with seasonal changes)
to maintain a blend of consistent quality and price.

NATURAL & NATURE IDENTICAL FLAVOURS – nothing artificial – no chemicals
All our teas imported from our supplier “Wollenhaupt” in Germany that we represent as the Australian agent are as listed below.
At Wollenhaupt.
Only natural flavours, flavour extract and nature-identical flavours are used to refine superior quality teas. To extract the natural flavours, natural raw indredients are physically, enzymatically or microbiologically processed. Ie: squeezed, distilled, heated, ground, fermented or chopped. Nature-identical flavours have the same chemical composition as natural flavours, except that they are synthetically produced indistinguishable reproductions of their natural counterparts. Many teas are made without additional flavours. In those teas, the desired aroma and taste is achieved soley by the ingredients such as fruit, herbs, spices or blossoms.
The success story of flavoured teas in Europe began about 100 years ago with the Earl Grey tea, a black tea enhanced with the oil extracted from the bergamot orange. This classic is still very popular among tea drinkers and is a must in any credible, well selected tea assortment.
Thank you to all the people who voted for us in the recent Local Hills Awards.
We were truly honoured to receive the award for "Most Outstanding Specialised Business" last month in The Sydney Hills District.
The comments you gave us when asked to complete the nomination forms were a real high to all our team and we could not believe how eager you all were.
We hope we can serve you for a long time to come with what we call the best tea and coffee available.
Our showroom is obviously a real hit with you all and the place to shop in the hills if you want the best selection of associated products as well.
Thank you
Lesley, Clayton
Panama “Don Pachi” Geisha
Rarest coffee available
If you’re an obsessively enthusiastic coffee geek, you’ve heard of it!
Don Pachi Geisha holds the record for the most expensive coffee sold at auction and a consistent winner at cupping competitions.
The coffee is recognised by its elongated bean originally from Ethiopia.
Unbelievable character! As a black coffee it has an extraordinarily delicate acidity featuring citrus fruit and honey flavours, and a Jasmine aroma that tantalizes the nasal passages. Add only a touch of milk and a basket of fruits send the senses into passionate overtime.
This is in every sense a cup of “excessive” excellence for any appreciative coffee drinker.
Excellent cupping coffees are rare to the shores of Australia so get in quick for this one.
Just about anywhere in the world is out of stock but we have one 60 kilo bag for roasting and it will go fast if we don’t drink it ourselves first.
Available until sold out $24.95 per 100g, or $49.95 per 250g
Best Regards,
Clayton Pine
